There are lots of reasons why you might need a portable storage container; from getting ready for a move to building apartments for the homeless. A.B. Richards knows how valuable our units are in helping people get organized or to give them the extra storage space they need. While we’re a rental company and can’t allow customers to create apartments out of our storage containers, we can help you store your winter snow removal equipment. There’s a lot A.B. Richards can do, but you have to take the first step and contact us to order a container delivery. We want to make that easy for you too, by letting you learn everything you need to know about our container deliveries.
A.B. Richards Can Take Care of All Of Your Storage Needs
The first thing you need to decide is what type of portable storage container you’re going to need. Whatever those needs are, A.B. Richards can take care of them. For smaller storage jobs, you can rent our 20ft storage containers, which are perfect for residential use. They’re among our most popular products.
For bigger jobs such as industrial storage or work site storage, A.B. Richards has 40ft storage containers that fill the bill. You might have an even bigger job or you may be storing awkwardly shaped items. In this case, you should consider our 40ft Jumbo storage containers with an extra foot of headroom.
Preparing for Delivery
Once you know what container you want, it’s time to schedule it for delivery. A.B. Richards delivers our portable storage containers throughout the northeast including locations in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut. We need to make certain that we’re able to deliver your containers.
For delivery of 20ft storage containers, we prefer to have about 50 feet of space to work with. For the bigger 40ft storage containers, we like to have about 75 to 100 feet of space available. We need the space to be available so we can deliver your storage container and be able to have the truck pull out from under it.
We’re also going to need 13 and a half feet of height above the container in order to deliver it safely. You’ll also need to be certain that the area around the delivery spot is cleared and free of debris. We’ll do our best to level out the container. We’ll use tilt bed trucks to deliver 20ft containers and flat-bed trucks for 40ft containers. The truck will back into the delivery spot and will lower one end of the container and then pull forward as the other side is lowered down.
