There are many ways that A.B. Richards can make your life more convenient. From giving your business extra room for inventory to storing seasonal furniture, A.B. Richards can make things convenient and help you get organized. But there’s some organizing you’re going to have to do before your ground level storage container arrives. A little prep work can go a long way and we want you to get the most out of our portable storage units. So we want to give you some advice on what to do even before your storage containers are delivered.
A.B. Richards Has the Right Storage Container for You
Making A.B. Richards your portable storage container rental company means that you will have your units delivered to wherever you’re going to need them. All of our storage containers are sturdy. They’re made of 12-gauge steel and they come with padlocks and doors that swing open so you can carry items into the unit easily.
The first decision you need to make before your container is delivered is to choose the product that’s right for your needs. A.B. Richards has a storage space calculator that will help you decide how much space you need. We offer three types of storage containers. Our 20ft containers are ideal for residential use or for things like sports equipment storage. We also have 40ft storage containers for rent which are perfect for industrial storage. They’re also ideal for keeping seasonal furniture safe during the offseason. Some items are going to be awkward to store and you might need one of our 40ft Jumbo storage containers with an extra foot of headroom.
Preparing for Storage Container Delivery
Once you’ve chosen the A.B. Richards product you need, it’s time to get ready for your delivery. And if you’re in the northeast, chances are we can deliver to you. We have locations throughout New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
We are going to need enough space to deliver your container, so please clear an area that will allow us to do that. Get rid of debris and make certain that there are no hazardous materials in the area where the storage container is going to be delivered. We like to have about 50 feet of space to deliver the 20ft container and usually we’ll need about 75 to 100 feet to be able to deliver one of our 40ft containers. What it basically comes down to is that we have enough space to deliver the storage container and get the truck out from under it. We’re also going to need about 13 and a half feet of space for headroom. We will need a person on site to sign the paperwork and you’ll need to have any blocks or railroad ties that you want placed under the container available as well.
